SUISUN CITY, California — November 4, 2026. Preliminary election returns show Alma R. Hernandez ahead in Suisun City’s multi-candidate mayoral contest, with Amit Pal in second place.
Early vote totals
According to KQED’s Solano County results snapshot updated at 1:18 a.m. Pacific on November 4, the leading reported candidates were Alma R. Hernandez — 1,674 votes (38.1%), Amit Pal — 1,154 (26.3%), and Michael Jefferson — 752 (17.1%). Other candidates also appeared on the ballot, so these three figures are not the entire contest total.
Hernandez’s reported advantage over Pal was 520 votes in that snapshot. The totals are unofficial; they do not represent a certified election or the complete final turnout.
A citywide election, not a countywide mayoral result
The contest elects a mayor for Suisun City, a Solano County municipality. It should not be confused with Solano County’s separate Measure E business-tax contest or with mayoral elections in other cities.
Further counting
The county Registrar of Voters will canvass remaining eligible ballots and certify local returns. Election-night leads may narrow or expand as further votes are accepted and processed. California58 will update the numerical snapshot when the Registrar releases a materially different tally.
